1. Move the mouse cursor over a part and left-click and hold the mouse button, then drag the part to a new location.
Observe that the attached wires stretch with the part.
2. Left-click to place the part.
3. Move the mouse cursor over a wire and left-click and hold the mouse button, then drag the wire segment to a new location. Release the mouse to place the wire.
Observe that the wire segment remains connected.
4. Use the Undo/Redo icons to return the parts to their original locations.
5. Left-click and hold the mouse button, and drag a rectangle around capacitors C1 and C2. (Be sure to include the power/ground symbols and wires.)
6. Move the mouse cursor over a selected part or wire, and notice that the cursor changes to a crosshair.
7. With the cursor appearing as a crosshair, left-click and hold the mouse button, and drag the selected group to a new location.
8. Press Esc.
9. Left-click to select a part.
a. Right-click and select Delete from the pop-up menu.
b. Press Control+Z to undo the deletion.
10. Left-click to select the part again, press the Delete or Backspace key.
a. Left-click the Undo icon in the main toolbar.
11. Left-click on capacitor C1, press and hold the Control key and left-click on capacitor C2.
a. Press the Backspace or Delete key to delete both capacitors at once.
b. Left-click the Undo icon on the main toolbar.
12. Left-click and hold the mouse button and drag a rectangle around both capacitors (include the power/ground symbols and wires).
a. Delete the selected parts and wires, then undo the deletion.
13. Select and delete C1, then select and delete C2.
14. Try to undo both deletions.
You can undo the deletion of both C1 and C2 because of the “Multiple Un-do’s” in Capture.
15. Move the mouse cursor over a part, then press and hold the Control key and left-click, and drag a copy of the part to a new location.
16. Press Control+Z to undo the copy.
17. Left-click on the part again.
a. Press Control+C to copy.
b. Press Control+V to paste.
c. Left-click to place a copy of the part.
d. Press Control+Z to undo the copy.
Note
You will also find Copy, Paste on the pop-up menus, as 3 icons on the tool bar for Cut, Copy, Paste and under the Edit menu.
18. Left-click and hold the mouse button and drag a rectangle around a capacitor (include the power/gnd symbols and wires)
19. Press and hold the Control key and left-click the mouse, then drag a copy of the circuit to a new location
20. Left-click in a blank area, away from any objects to deselect all objects.
21. Left-click to select C1 (or C2) again and drag the part to another location to the right or left. Notice that wires WILL stay connected to the pins of a part.
22. Return the part to the previous location or use Undo.
23. Left-click to select the part again. This time hold the ALT key down as you drag the part to a new location.
Notice that this time the part is unconnected from the wires.
24. Select File>Close from the top menu and Discard to discard all changes.
