1. Select Export>Reports from the top menu

The Reports menu appears.

 

2. Scroll through the list of reports and double-click the Summary Drawing Report from the pull-down list. This will add the report to the list.

 

3. Left-click>Generate Reports to generate the report.

A Summary Drawing Report appears in a new viewing window.

 

4. After viewing the report, left-click the “X” in the Reports window to close this report window.

 

5. Double-click on the Summary Drawing Report in the Reports form to remove it from the Selected Reports area.

 

6. Repeat this process to create an Etch Length by Layer Report, Etch Length by Net Report, Etch Length by Pin Pair Report, Design Rules Check Report, Unconnected Pins Report, Unplaced Components Report, or any other type of report you wish.

 

7. Left-click>Close to close the Reports menu.

 

8. Use File>Save and overwrite the release.brd. The next lab uses a different board file for the exercises.
