1. Select File>Open from the top menu
A warning is issued and you are asked whether you want to save the existing viewgerber.brd file.
2. Left-click>No to the warning.
A file browser window opens.
3. Select the release.brd file and left-click>Open to close the browser.
The release.brd file appears in the work area.
4. Select Setup>Colors from the top menu.
5. Left-click Global Visibility Off button field to make all classes and subclasses invisible.
6. Choose the Geometry folder.
7. Turn ON Design Outline, Dimension and Assembly Notes (BrdGeo) subclasses.
8. Choose the Drawing Format folder and turn on all items in that class by selecting the All box.
Do you also need to turn on the Manufacturing NC Legend layers as well??
9. Left-click>OK to close the Color / Visibility form.
10. Select Display>Zoom>World from the top menu.
11. Select Manufacture>Create Drill Table from the top menu.
The Drill Legend dialog appears.
12. You can change the Legend Title from DRILL CHART if you wish. Accept all remaining defaults and left-click>OK.
A rectangle appears attached to your cursor, and the PCB Editor message area prompts you to pick a location for the legend information.
13. Place the legend down within the format drawing and outside the board outline.
14. Take a look at the Drill Legend you placed. It is a drill chart for the pins that traverse from the Top layer of the board to the Bottom. If you were working with blind or buried vias, a different drill chart would appear for each legal layer combination. These are “usually” initially placed on top of one another. These can be separated using Edit>Move then enabling just Groups in the Find pane. Once placed the positions are remembered. Also note the drill symbols in your design representing the drills of the through holes.
15. Select File>Viewlog from the top menu to see the log file.
16. Left-click>Close to exit the log file.
