1. Select Export>NC Parameters from the top menu.
An NC Parameters form appears.
2. In the Excellon format section, set the Format to 3.5 and enable Enhanced Excellon Format.
3. Left-click>OK.
The parameters are written to a file called nc_param.txt.
4. Choose Export>NC Drill from the top menu.
An NC Drill window appears.
5. Enable the Auto Tool Select.
6. Left-click>Drill to start the file creation process.
7. Left-click>Close.
The drill data is extracted from the design file (release.brd), and the Excellon format drill file (release-1-6.drl) is written to disk.
8. Use the File Manager or a viewer of your choice to view the release-1-6.drl file.
9. Choose File>Viewlog from the top menu to view the ncdrill.log file that was created.
The log file displays format information, as well as hole size and quantity data.
10. Left-click>Close in the log file window to close the window.
11. Choose File>Save from the top menu.
A window appears and warns you that the release.brd file already exists. It asks if you want to overwrite the file.
12. Left-click>Yes to confirm the overwrite.
The file release.brd is written to disk.
