What does a Transient Simulation do?
A Transient Simulation measures the circuit response in the time domain. The results of a Transient Simulation viewed in the Probe window will resemble a waveform on an oscilloscope.
Transient simulations can be run on both Analogue and Digital circuits
Transient simulation parameters are how long to simulate, when to start saving data (from the start is the default) and when to force the simulator to evaluate the circuit (can be used to improve the output resolution of some simulations)
Sources for Transient Simulations
Sources for Transient Simulations are: Exponential (VEXP); Pulse (VPULSE); Piece-wise Linear (VPWL); Sine (VSIN); Single Frequency, Frequency Modulated, Sine (VSFFM).
The names of the Voltage sources have been provided but there are Current versions as well: IEXP; IPULSE; IPWL; ISIN; ISFFM
Note that sources have no internal limits and will provide up to 1e10 Volts, or Amps, before reaching the Simulator magnitude limits.
