1. Open the provided Temperature project from the C:\OrCAD_Training\PSpice directory.

(For reference the circuit uses the following library items: R, Pot, D1N4148, D1N821, AD741, VDC, 0, VCC_Arrow and one off-page connector.

(In the graphic, the “reversed” battery isn’t really a great practice!)

 

1. Configure a simulation profile to perform a DC Sweep of Temperature from 0°C to 100°C in increments. The following picture shows the simulation settings.

 

 

2. Add a voltage probe to the V1 net near the OpAmp output

 

3. Run the simulation and examine the output.

Additional Exercise

Adjust the Set on the pots to see what happens, use Parameters for the POT parts to sweep the SET properties from 0.1 to 0.9, avoiding the “end stops”!

It is possible to sweep the two POT SET properties independently and the temperature from 0 to 100 in steps of 1 in a single simulation profile.
