Transformers are formed in PSpice by having two or more inductors coupled by a coupling, or core model component.
For a linear Transformer, one that doesn’t saturate, the coupling component is K_Linear. Up to 6 inductors can be coupled by the supplied coupling and core components, which is typically sufficient, but it is possible to couple “any number” of inductors by extending the model. Also, for a Linear Transformer, the windings are specified in Henrys and the transformer uses the ratio of inductance values.
For a non-linear Transformer, one that does saturate, the default core model is a Kbreak and this uses the default parameters for a magnetic core. Again, up to 6 inductors can be specified with the supplied core models and, again, this can be extended by editing the model. For a non-linear Transformer, the windings are specified as a number of turns.
The supplied magnetics.olb has many other core models.
