Lab 14-4: Creating Fab and Assembly Drawings 17.4

(Check that the “release.brd file is open from the previous Lab)

1. Select Add>Text from the top menu.

 

2. In the Options window, set the Active Class and Subclass fields to Drawing Format / Title_Data

 

3. In Options, double-click in the Text Block area, and enter:

Make sure the Rotate field is set to 0.

 

4. In the PCB Editor work area, left-click in the title block (lower right corner of the drawing format), and enter your name. Right-click>Done to set the text.

 

5. Select Display>Zoom>Fit from the top menu

 

6. Select Setup>Colors from the top menu.

First you will turn OFF some of the items from the previous lab.

 

7. In the Geometry folder, turn the Dimension subclass Off and turn the Assembly_Notes Off.

 

8. In the Geometry folder, turn the Assembly_Top subclass On.

 

9. In the Manufacturing folder, turn the Nclegend-1-6 Off.

 

10. In the Stack-Up folder, turn Top Pin On.

 

11. In the Components folder, turn Ref Des/Assembly_Top On.

 

12. Left-click>OK to close the Colour form.

The assembly drawing information is now visible.

 

13. Select Display>Zoom>World to display the entire drawing format.

(If your computer is connected to a printer, you can at this point print what you have currently displayed in the PCB Editor screen by selecting File>Print)
